David and I made our way to Mary’s for a 5:30 reservation this year. We started out with a bottle of cabernet sauvignon and a goat cheese appetizer. This was followed by cracked red peppercorn soup, for me, and David chose the potato leak soup. We both had ceasar salads and then our entrees. David feasted on lamb and I devoured the surf and turf (lobster). We couldn’t stuff ourselves with anything else, so we got the desserts to go. After Mary’s we made our way by the Sanders house to wish them a Happy New Year. One vodka drink later we headed to Mollies, John Browns, and the Elks for a little dancing. The choices in Marion on NYE are slim to none so we made our rounds and the best of it. We were home before the new year and toasted to our wonderful time out tonight and life together. This afternoon, I had my walnut apple dessert draped in chocolate and David had his cheesecake. Happy New Year to All!
